Teliani Valley Kakhuri No 8 – if orange is the new black, amber is the old orange – a lovely mouthfilling structured amber wine that evolves in the glass with nutty, dried fruit notes on top of fresh peachy flavours.

Cameron Douglas review: "Most definitely amber in appearance, very bright and witha captivating bouquet of ripe and exotic fruits, quite floral and with familair aromas of peach nectar and aripe red apple, sultana, insense and soft five spice qualities. On the palate - taut and dry with a chalk-like grip and acidity to match. Flavours of the fruit in the bouquet do return, but they are hidden a little behind the youthful power and textures. A totally interesting that seems best served with food or cheese. Well made and enticing with best drinking from day of purchase through 2030."
